Yes please. I'll bring the firewood and a bottle of something — let me know if Sat works for you, otherwise next weekend is open too. I've been wanting an excuse to leave town for a few days and your timing is perfect.

Also — Hen mentioned the road up there can be rough in March, do we want to take your truck? Mine's been making a noise.

Why Mailcedar

Mail that doesn't read over your shoulder

We're a small Canadian company that runs our own mail servers. We're not selling anything to anyone — not your data, not your attention, not your address. You pay us, or you don't pay us, and that's the whole arrangement.

End-to-end encryption

Messages between Mailcedar users are encrypted at rest with keys we can't read. Plus optional OpenPGP for any other mail provider.

No tracking, anywhere

We strip tracking pixels and surveillance scripts from every message you receive. The sender doesn't get to know when you opened their email.

Aliases, by the dozen

Give a different address to every newsletter, shop, and signup. Disable one if it starts attracting noise. Your real address stays clean.

Custom domains

Bring your own domain or buy one through us. Same inbox, your address. Free on Plus and above, unlimited on Pro.

Real IMAP and SMTP

Use Mailcedar with any client. Apple Mail, Thunderbird, mutt, whatever you grew up with. We don't lock you into a webmail.

15-year guarantee

If we ever go out of business, we'll give you a year's notice and an export tool. The mail in your account belongs to you, full stop.

Independent

We don't take outside money, so we don't owe anyone but you

The big mail companies make money from the ads they show beside your messages, or from the data they harvest about you, or both. We don't. We're a small team that pays the bills with subscriptions, and that means the only person we're trying to please is the one reading the inbox.

We don't have a growth team. We don't have a "monetization roadmap." We have a Postfix server, a small office in Vancouver, and customers who pay $4 a month. That's enough.
